VDMA-certified safety cabinet for storing and charging lithium-ion batteries

This VDMA safety cabinet for storing and charging lithium-ion batteries, part no. ALTOL220VVDMA, has a fire resistance rating of 90 minutes.

It features a roof-mounted overpressure trap (or pressure relief valve) with a flame-retardant grid. If the temperature is too high and pressure builds up, the hatch opens automatically to reduce the accumulated pressure. But also two self-closing doors equipped with door contacts. If a door remains open for more than 5 minutes, an alarm sounds and the doors close automatically. This VDMA safety cabinet can be closed with a key.

The lithium-ion charging cabinet features 4 adjustable wire shelves, each with a load capacity of 70 kg, and a socket rack on each level.

The lithium battery cabinet is equipped with a smoke detector which ensures rapid detection and intervention in the event of overheating of a lithium-ion battery. It is also equipped with a temperature sensor which, when the temperature exceeds 50°C, automatically stops charging and triggers an audible alarm. The cabinet is equipped with a visual and audible alarm, a UPS battery that will power the cabinet for 24 hours in the event of a power cut, and an optional aerosol extinguishing system. As soon as smoke is present in the cabinet, the extinguisher activates, cools down and controls the battery to prevent the fire spreading, and the alarm is automatically activated. There is also the option of transmitting to an existing fire station. The safety cabinet is equipped with forced ventilation to prevent overheating of the lithium-ion batteries.

The storage and charging cabinet is designed for the safe storage and charging of lithium-ion batteries. It is primarily intended for batteries for bicycles, scooters, power tools and similar devices. Lithium-ion cabinets are robust and durable.

The Lithium cabinet is equipped with adjustable feet and can be moved by pallet truck on all 4 sides of the storage cabinet. Thanks to the dimensions of the safety cabinet for lithium-ion battery storage, in the event of an incident, the cabinets can pass through standard doors. In the event of an incident, the cabinet can be quickly evacuated. Cabinet monitoring can be managed via a personalized portal to keep you informed at all times of cabinet status by sending SMS, e-mail or notifications.

This cabinet for charging lithium-ion batteries is KIWA-certified to K21045 and also VDMA 24994. These certificates guarantee the highest safety standards.
